Join our mission to fix identity verification for the people most in need
Vouching could change so much, but we need your help to do it right
Last month, we wrote this newsletter, where we described a way to help people prove their identity to government by having someone vouch for them.
This would be an absolute game changer for the millions who have no form of ID at all, people who tend to be the most vulnerable in society, including:
undocumented migrants
people going through homelessness
survivors of abuse
For the next three weeks we’re going to be validating the concept, building a prototype and most importantly: building a detailed picture of the possible systemic consequences of this work, good and bad.
To do that, we need your help.
We want to talk to people who:
work with people who often lack ID recognised in the UK
provide services that need some kind of identity verification
would be interested in being a “voucher” or “vouchee”
You don’t need a Scottish government connection. We see potential for this to be used beyond Scotland, and in the wider public and charity sector.
If this interests you, you can book time with us or email hello@interrobang.coop.
This could change so much, so it’s important we get it right.
